Newcastle to host major mobile conference

EXPERTS from some of the world’s largest tech companies are to descend on the North East next month as part of a ‘first of its kind’ conference in Newcastle.

Headed up by North East telecoms specialist Nice Network, the first ever #NiceMDM19 conference will feature high profile speakers from the likes of Google, Blackberry, Vodafone and SOTI and will give businesses a unique insight into how technology is set to shape the workplace of the future.

Taking place at St James’ Park on November 21, the technology event will explore topics such as the business benefits and challenges of the Internet of Things (IoT), why Mobile Device Management (MDM) is vital to keeping your business safe, and will include a live demonstration by SOTI on its world class Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM).

Geoff Burns, Head of Sales at Nice Network, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting the first ever #NiceMDM19 conference next month and are looking forward to bringing Google, SOTI, Vodafone and Blackberry to the North East for what should be a day full of thought-provoking speeches and presentations.

“The conference will bring together end users, solution providers and industry experts to talk about the ever-changing world of mobile and the crucial role device management solutions will play in helping businesses grow and innovate for years to come. The day-long event is free to attend, but there are only 100 spaces available, on a first come, first served basis, so I’d recommend anyone wanting to join us on the day to register their interest via the Nice Network website as soon as possible to avoid missing out.”

Canadian tech giant SOTI manages millions of mobile devices at any given time for thousands of blue-chip and large organisations and will be one of the event’s keynote speakers.

Richard Smith, Regional Sales Manager at SOTI, added: “We’ve attended and held similar events to this in cities such as London, Milan and New York however this is the first time anything like this has been held in the North of England, so we’re delighted to be joining Nice Network to bring this event to Newcastle.”
