Striving to attain sustainable cost savings, reduced downtime, increased production efficiency and best practice?
The NEAA is working with SMC Pneumatics to deliver a Continuous Improvement Masterclass for Members and SMEs.
Taking place on 6 September 2017, the masterclass will help companies achieve their efficiency targets through six sigma, lean manufacturing, TPM and world class manufacturing.
The Masterclass will be ran in 5 sessions:
- 8:30-10:00 am
- 10:00-11:30 am
- 11:30-1:00 pm
- 2:00-3:30 pm

Each session will start with a brief meet and greet, a presentation from SMC and then a tour of the Continuous Improvement Rig.
SMC has a dynamic display that highlights and demonstrates how they can help you deliver your Continuous Improvement Programme. The modular rig allows SMC to engage with employees, highlighting issues that directly impact on your business.
The aim of the rig is to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness by reducing downtime and increasing production efficiencies, hence reducing costs and waste by showing best practise and innovative products. The Continuous Improvement rig shows eight pillars of TPM as follows:
- Focused Improvements
- Autonomous Maintenance
- Planned Maintenance
- Training & Education
- Maintenance Prevention
- Quality Maintenance
- Office TPM
- Safe, Healthy and Environmentally
*This masterclass is tailored towards core manufacturing companies and is not suitable for associate companies. It is ideally suited towards Plant Managers, Process and Design Engineers, Maintenance Managers and Technicians.
